Sergio Claudio dos Santos (Serginho for short; born June 27, 1971 in Nilópolis) is a Brazilian footballer, who plays as a left winger and left back for A.C. Milan.
Career
He played for Cruzeiro EC and Esporte Clube Bahia, and moved to AC Milan from São Paulo FC in 1999. At Milan, Serginho has always been a fringe player, starting on the bench but usually being the first substitute. He contributed to Milan's 2003 UEFA Champions League victory over Juventus FC, scoring the first of Milan's three penalty scores in the shootout. Unfortunately, 2005 was a reversal of fortune as Milan made the CL final again but lost on penalties to Liverpool FC, with Serginho whistling his shot over the crossbar.
The apex of Serginho's Milan career was when he scored a goal and contributed three assists in a 6-0 thrashing of crosstown rival Inter on May 11, 2001.
He earned ten caps with the Brazilian national team, scoring one goal.
Trivia
* Serginho and Dida are roommates at the team's live-in training facility, Milanello.
* His nickname is Il Concorde, due to his quick and tireless pace on the pitch.
