GLASGOW - European Champions Milan will go on the pitch on Wednesday 3 October at Glasgow's Celtic Park for the second match of the group stage of the 2007/2008 Champions League against Celtic. On their debut at San Siro on 18 September the Rossoneri beat Benfica 2-1.

Celtic, who in the 2006/2007 season won the Scottish Premier League with 84 points (26 victories, 6 draws and 6 defeats), were eliminated by the Rossoneri last season in the second round thanks to an extra-time goal by Kaká.

Currently the Scottish side are top of the Scottish Premier League table after 8 matchdays, with 19 points obtained from 6 victories, 1 draw and 1 defeat.
The squad of players coached by Strachan has reinforced itself thanks to the purchases made by President Brian Quinn, including Italian midfielder Donati and Australian striker McDonald.

On the third matchday of the Champions League group stage Milan will face Shakhtar on 24 October at San Siro, while Celtic are away to Benfica.
