THE RIGHT SPIRIT

10/2/2007

This is shown by Carlo Ancelotti to the team, on the eve of the difficult away games at Glasgow and Rome. Milan must find back application in the game and determination in the attitude.

MILAN - Adriano Galliani already spoke before the flight left. Now, on the eve of Celtic-Milan, it's Carlo Ancelotti's turn: "The spirit of Athens, but in general the right spirit is the best path to come out of this difficult moment. Celtic and Lazio, now, are two games, two away matches, difficult and complicated, but they will give us the right pressure to do well. Right now we lack the application and determination: we must find them again. Celtic? They are a good team, even though they changed a bit. I think they miss Vennegoor upfront, he's a very strong attacker in the aerial play."

The other concepts expressed by the Milan coach: "Yesterday I spoke with the team and we agreed on everything, but let's not be funny with summits. Kaka? (and here Ancelotti laughs and jokes...) I did not speak to him yesterday, we shall do an American confrontation at Glasgow...The phoenix? I don't think we're down, in any case we are sorry that we did not do well in the league, but we shall do better from now on wards. Dida? He has made big improvements, in these days he has improved a lot and we shall take the final decision on whether he will play at Glasgow after a more important verification. The transfer market? Our last campaign was based on the purchases of a player which will be available from January, therefore the evaluation should be done later on."
