TURNAROUND AT CELTIC PARK

10/3/2007

"Celtic are certainly an important team, we'll be playing in a splendid stadium where there will be a fantastic public." - CARLO ANCELOTTI AND MASSIMO ODDO'S PRESS CONFERENCE -

GLASGOW - Here are the declarations made by Carlo Ancelotti and Massimo Oddo during the press conference held today in Glasgow, on the eve of the Champions League match against Celtic:

Carlo Ancelotti:
"Whether Dida goes on the pitch tomorrow or not depends exclusively on his physical conditions, I will evaluate the situation during tonight's training session and afterwards as well. If I see he is fine, he will play tomorrow. Regarding the match against Celtic? I think matches sometimes help to solve problems as well as evidencing them, I hope tomorrow's match will help us solve our problems.
Celtic are certainly an important team, we'll be playing in a splendid stadium where there will be a fantastic public.
We will find back former Rossonero Donati. When he was with Milanhe wanted to play with continuity, but with the players available in this squad it was not possible. But I am happy about his good start in the Champions League with Celtic. Massimo will want to do well in tomorrow's game, he will be very determined as will all of his team mates.

Massimo Oddo:
"The defence has been criticised because of the goals it's been conceding lately. In these situations, however, it's normal to receive criticism, we accept it and are ready to improve ourselves, trying to do every day.
I think we are in a balanced group. I think both Celtic and Benfica are strong teams, but perhaps the Scots are slightly more advantaged by the matches they are able to play at home in such a fantastic ambience.
Indeed, Celtic have shown more than once they are able to acquit themselves very well, just as their fans who always help them a lot."
