Giuseppe Favalli

Giuseppe Favalli (born January 8, 1972 in Orzinuovi, Province of Brescia) is an Italian football (soccer) player at the position of defender who currently plays for AC Milan.

He started his career with then-Serie B squad Cremonese, where his strong performance resulted in him being signed to Lazio during the summer of 1992. He eventually became team captain and was a fan favorite. He later played for Inter Milan after joining the club in the summer of 2004. He later was signed by A.C. Milan in a free transfer, and appeared as a substitute late in the 2007 UEFA Champions League Final which saw Milan gain their seventh European Cup in a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC.

He was affectionately nicknamed Favallinho by Milan supporters after he scored his only two goals of the 2006-07 Serie A campaign in back-to-back wins over Empoli and Messina in April 2007.
