WE CAN DO MORE

Milan does not want to hide and is ready to make auto-criticism. Daniele Bonera and all of his team-mates know that something must be changed with regards to the management of the game. But don't say that Milan snobs the league!

Daniele Bonera at the microphones of Milan Channel spoke calmly about the problems of a team which cannot succeed to manage the results of the league:

"The problem exists and we’re talking about it with the coach. Even though the team is leading always tries to close the games and inevitably we open up and allow our opponents to come back. Let’s say that in Europe for us it’s easier because there are more spaces, but we must surely find a solution also for this. In any case it is absolutely wrong to say that Milan is snobbing the league. We go on the pitch to win always and we have the highest respect for our opponent.”

“Now we shall have to play two difficult games against Palermo and Catania, and even in this case we can find teams which will not allow us much space. Maybe the Champions League takes away some energy, but we cannot hide ourselves. Now Milan has been used to playing in more than one competition and therefore has all the possibilities to play in the best possible way both competitions."
“With regards to the next encounter at Palermo, we know that we shall play against a great team. Traditionally, the Sicilians always put us in great difficulty, like it happened in the past season. The fact that so far they have done better away from home means nothing.”

“Daniele Bonera must always be ready. When you don’t play with great continuity it’s not always easy, but I have the duty to do so. Now there will be many games close to each other and we cannot miss the appointment. Our coach knows how to manage us in the best possible way and knows when to call us. The important thing, as I said before, is to be ready.”
