Last season Milan obtained just one point in two matches against Palermo. In direct encounters Milan have an advantage but the "Barbera" Stadium always presents many dangers
There are 40 precedents between Milan and Palermo since the league has been played in a single round. 25 victories for the Rossoneri, 7 for the Rosanero, and 8 draws. Considering matches played at the Renzo Barbera stadium of Palermo, out of 20 encounters Milan have won 8, lost 5 and drawn 7. 19 goals have been scored by the Rossoneri, 11 goals have been conceded. The player who has had the most appearences in this fixture is Nils Liedholm, with 7 precedents. The 'goleador', meanwhile, is Gunnar Nordahl, with 5 goals scored.
In the last three seasons Milan and Palermo have met 10 times. The two teams have met each other in the Coppa Italia as well as in the league in the last three years, so there is no lack of possibilities for comparison:

As far as Milan are concerned it's often been the match of the great strikers. In 2004, on 20 November, in a Coppa Italia match in front of a big crowd at the 'Barbera', Milan found back good football after a number of disappointing displays and above all Hernan Crespo found the net again, thereby confirming he had finally unblocked himself. Something similar happened to Pippo Inzaghi in a game against Palermo. The Piaceza-born striker hadn't scored since March 2004, but exactly a year and a half later, against Palermo at San Siro, he started the match from the first minute and managed to score a great goal as he dove to meet a cross by Jankulovski.
