IT ALL FALLS INTO PLACE

10/8/2007

For Adriano Galliani the victory at the Olimpico represents a turning point in terms of the result. According to the Delegate Administrator Milan never did badly and are finally reaping the rewards of their good football.

MILAN - Adriano Galliani spoke about the nice evening yesterday at the Olimpico during the presentation of the Fair Play Team, which took place at the Atahotel Executive in Milan.

"Today I'm smiling, partly for the nice initiative of Team Fair Play, and partly because of yesterday night's victory. I hope it was a turnaround, although we can only speak of a change in terms of the results. I think we even played better at Palermo, only then our shots hit the posts, while yesterday they went in. Talking with our coach, we realized that the team does better away from home when there's more space, while at home we still have a bit more problems. In any case now we will have a few more strikers available and in that sense things will get better. What I think of yesterday's refereeing? Today is fair play day so I will just say I saw some mistakes and that's all."

"Ronaldo? I hope to find him back on the 21st and then a few months later we will have Pato available, I'm told he's phenomenal. You all know this operation is part of a strategy that we clearly planned. Waiting for a few months in order to have him available some time later is not a really big problem. And yesterday was the great evening of Alberto Gilardino! He scored two great goals and we are all very happy for him. I liked what happened last night in the dressing room very much. He came in last as he had been giving some interviews, and the whole team applauded him as he entered. I'm very happy for him and also the President was very happy. Now he's unblocked himself and we all know that Alberto always starts scoring around November, it's a good thing he's started in October. He wasn't called up for the national team? Unfortunately his goals came after the call-ups, while in Inzaghi's case I think Donadoni left the player out due to some physical problems."

"How we managed to shield Dida? It was enough to call him every day and tell him to remain calm and reassuring him he would remain the number one. He told us he did not want to read the newspapers and that our words to him were the only guarantee for him. I can say that as long as Adriano Galliani will be delegate administrator and Silvio Berlusconi the President of this club Nelson Dida will remain Milan's goalkeeper. Now let's enjoy this moment even though I repeat that this team never badly in the way they played. In Glasgow we did quite well, while at Palermo we did very well. We could easily have had 4 points."
